Rust-Oleum® Glow in the Dark paint is a luminous latex paint designed to produce a glowing effect for up to 2hours. It has a light yellow appearance during the day but glows a bright green at night. The painted finish needs to be charged with natural or artificial light for several hours before the surface glows. This product can be applied to wood, metal, drywall, and many other surfaces. It is ideal for use on walls, doors, drawer fronts, storage containers, light switches, toy chests, closets, and other surfaces. Use is bedrooms, play areas, basements, garages, laundry rooms and dorm rooms. Glows for 2 hours after a full charge. For indoor use only.

Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with fresh water and allow to thoroughly dry. Remove loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand glossy surfaces.

Use of a Painter’s Touch or American Accents latex primer enhances adhesion and hiding, and is especially recommended for bare metal and wood surfaces.

Apply only when air and surface temperatures are above 50ºF (10ºC) and 90ºF (32ºC) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Before using, mix thoroughly to ensure any settled pigment is re-dispersed. Thinning is not required. Avoid painting in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces. Use a good quality synthetic brush. Avoid excessive brushing as this will reduce film thickness and protection. Use light even strokes to ensure smooth and uniform flow. Apply two coats 45 minutes apart to achieve maximum glowing effect.
